War on the Eternal Court (October 467AV)

Casimiro looked on in a strange calm. There were Scourge as far as the eye could see. Not just the drones but Hunters, Siege Beasts, Puppetmasters, Ethereal entities and even the dreaded Reapers. They had arrived at the outer wall of the Temple of the Eternal Court only hours before and any time now, the fighting would begin. He stood in the sunlight with his helmet at his side, letting the cool breeze soothe his face as he stood in the glory of Clymenia herself. She looked radiant today, her armour all white and gold, it reflected the sunlight in a dozen places epitomizing her majesty and glory. She glanced over and saw him watching, smiled reassuringly and nodded, “Glory and righteousness are with us today commander, we cannot lose. Begin your attack.”
Commander Casimiro bellowed several orders before replacing the helmet on his head and moving forward, ready to bring divine wrath upon the enemy. A horrid chittering sound emanated from the Scourge as they began to move forward as well. Battle had begun.

Three hours later Casimiro sounded the retreat. Charges, counter charges and unleashing of massive amounts of divine energy had caused a path of destruction in their ranks, but the Scourge were relentless. There were so many dead of both sides around, it was carnage. The soldiers were losing their will to fight and die here as even Clymenia herself was flagging visibly. His clarion call rang out across the battlefield and the Templar army began giving ground, stepping back slowly and coming together once more. The retreat was orderly but once they were clear of the temple and the Scourge did not pursue, many broke and ran for camp. He couldn’t blame them. If not for the divine armour granted by the Guardian of Glory, Casimiro is confident he would have died several times over today. This was a victory for the Scourge who almost immediately began tearing down the walls of the temple. But they had made them bleed for it.
